Randy Fountain To me there are two issues that need to be addressed here. It isn't really that a payment for "other income" is being applied to rent, because the system doesn't know that you want to apply that partial payment towards the sale of the item versus applying it towards the delinquent rent. That is the bigger problem. The line order accounting is, to me, a good addition in QMS but it needs to be editable for each facility. That would go a long way towards solving the problem. However it is a global setting and we both know that one-off cases come up that will be an exception to that setting. To address that, there really needs to be a "Make a Different Payment" option that allows a permissible user to allocate a partial payment to the category of their choosing. Both of these I have brought up several times and there are cards. I look forward to your thoughts and input on this approach or if you see something different.

Tony Gardner I don't see it differently at all. I 100% agree. I just feel it should be sooner rather than down the road to keep from having to fix data.

Tony Gardner Gotcha. Not really sure how this can go live allocating other income as rent. No operator will accept that.

Randy Fountain Good catch on the missing tax. I will create a card shortly for that. For the top one, that is currently working as designed and highlights the true need for a "Make a Different Payment". The system will always apply payments using the line order setting under accounting. And no, you currently cannot change it either.
